Yes I Really do Use Ceramic Laundry Balls

Finding a safe laundry detergent is pretty tough.  So if you are trying to keep your cleaning Eco Friendly why not ditch the detergent altogether and choose instead ceramic laundry balls?  With these you make one purchase and you end up with three years or more of laundry done, with nothing else to buy.  Sounds impossible, so do they really work?

Firstly, let me be the first to admit, nothing gets rid of stains and worn in grime better than the harshest of old fashioned chemical laundry detergents.  But, I would rather not have to wear that harsh chemical next to my skin, or empty it into the waste water system.  So I choose instead something safer for both me and the environment.  I have used many green laundry detergents.  On the whole I find they are pretty good.  But, read the small print and you find that none are really as green as you’d like.  At the end of the day they are all using a lot of energy to be made and transported around the country, and all are sending something into our waste water system.  They deal with ordinary laundry but anything really dirty is likely to need a presoak or the aid of some baking soda to sort it out.

It is the same with Eco laundry balls.  But, being bought far less often at least they are reducing the transportation issue on the environment.  Plus, they do not discharge anything bubbly or toxic into the waste water system.  I have been using ceramic wash balls for nearly three years.  They deal with my day to day wash perfectly well.  Occasionally I help them out a little, just as I did with my previous green laundry detergents.  But an overnight soak in some soapy water, or a quick scrub of a collar doesn’t feel like hard work to me.

But then, I make life tough for any detergent as I wash only on a short cold wash cycle.  So for me, the Eco wash perform as well as anything else I have tried and they have saved me a fortune.  Yes, I really do use ceramic laundry balls and am perfectly happy with them.  They will not match the dirt blasting power of such products as Tide, but I am more than happy to swap that for a less polluted planet, if you are too give them a go!
