The Art of Jumping Rope
Jumping rope is an extremely fun activity and for sure, you too enjoyed it when you were still a kid. Then again, did you know that this particular activity can actually help you immensely when it comes to losing weight? Yes, you read that right! This routine involves total body movement which in turn, will enable you to shake away all of the excess fats in your body.
Here are three variations of the jumping rope that you can try out;
a.) Basic Jump – Stand straight with the rope placed right behind you. Start off by swinging the rope over your head and then simply jump over it with both feet.
b.) Reverse Jump – This is just the same as that of the basic jump, but this time the jump rope is situated right in front of you and you swing it pass your head backwards. Again jump using both feet.
c.) Jog Jump – Commence with the basic jump, but this time, jump over the rope with alternate footing. Much like jogging while jumping.
Then again, what makes this activity truly special is because of the fact that it does not require any added effort like enrolling in gyms and such. You can simply perform it right there in your basement, front lawn or backyard. It also does not require any special equipment, except for the jump rope of course. This routine will build up and strengthen your hamstrings, calves as well as your arms and shoulders. It will not just help you lose weight, but it will also enhance your stamina, coordination, agility and flexibility; making it the best of all the home cardio exercises!
