Any parent will definitely have heard of the zhu zhu pets. The run up to Christmas has seen an almost frenzied search for the zhu zhu hamsters. Now we have a series of new releases and one of these is zhu zhu pet Nugget.

This new release is an orange new zhu zhu pets and is sure to be extremely popular with the kids. They seem to have gone crazy over these toys and parents have been running around stores trying to find them. This has been a major problem for many as they were so difficult to find.

In fact almost no high street stores could keep them in stock for more than a few minutes. It was left to buying online and this meant that prices became very high. The new models are a little more expensive than the older ones but are still nowhere near the price they were during the Christmas shopping season.

It is difficult to know just what the prices for the zhu zhu pets will actually be eventually as the demand has been so high that they went up to over $60 each for a short period of time. Hopefully 2010 will see the prices remain stable at a sensible price and then anyone who wishes to buy one will be able to afford to do so.

There are also sure to be lots of new releases in 2010 and there is even talk of baby zhu zhu hamsters arriving on the scene. What new accessories will be available we can only imagine as they already have skateboards, cars and trucks and can even go surfing.

We will also have to see how popular they remain once the frenzy is over although I get the feeling that they will be popular for some time to come, just hopefully a lot lower in price.
