Having your wedding in a large city like Houston, Los Angeles, or Chicago, presents a vast number of opportunities- but can also quickly get expensive and overwhelming. If you choose not to have a wedding planner, having reliable friends and family to help you, good resources, and a central theme are essential to your survival.
My dictionary says that resentment is “a feeling of deep and bitter anger and ill will”. When you look at that definition, it should come as no surprise that resentment can destroy a marriage. There is no way you can expect to have a happy marriage while harboring feelings of ill will toward your spouse. Likewise, you cannot love someone and at the same time have feelings of deep and bitter anger. Holding on to resentment will quickly destroy intimacy as well. The negative feelings created by resentment only lead to more resentment and more negativity. Resentment is a common marriage problem and creates vicious cycle that must be broken in order to have a marriage that is healthy and happy. If you don’t break the cycle and rid yourself of the resentment, you marriage is doomed to fail.
The majority of folks understand when looking for christian marriage advice that when you become attached with another individual, it is inevitable to become tough. It’s the same as two people taking part in a gunny sack contest… One has their left leg in the sack, the other one has got their right leg in it and they’re expected to move jointly and not tumble?
